The lens, is a near transparent disc like structure made up of elongated fiber like cells, positioned directly behind the iris, held in place by fibers called zonules. The function of the lens is to focus an image onto the back of the eye by flexing its shape sending light directly to the macula.
As lens tissue ages, it can become cloudy and firm unable to focus as easily and developing into what we call a cataract.
The Lens is becoming slightly cloudy, may have a few water bubbles or a single fracture line.
The Lens is now becoming cloudy and opaque. Vision is diminished and lights create significant glare.
